Former HR Director, Marks and Spencer
David has completed a 34 year executive career in which he undertook senior HR roles in Retail, Consumer Goods and Manufacturing.
He was most recently the HR Director of Marks and Spencer (2016-2019), involved in accelerating the transformation of the company in a rapidly changing retail world. David was previously the Chief People Officer for Woolworths Ltd based in Sydney, Australia (2012-2016). Woolworths is the leading retailer in Australia and a top ten ASX company with 200,000 employees. David was heavily involved in changing the culture and leadership in the company. He was also the Group HR Director of Home Retail Group plc in the UK from 2007-2012.
David spent 18 years in global consumer goods with Diageo plc. He had extensive global experience in senior HR roles, including spells in Europe, as HRD for Asia-Pacific based in Hong Kong and as the Director of Talent and Organisation on a global basis.
David started his career at Ford Motor Company.
