As CEO Dominic has built the Invictus Games Foundation from inception into a globally recognised and admired brand. He has overseen the delivery of each iteration of the Games and developed the support of the wounded, injured and sick beyond the Games.
He has run a successful portfolio career for 30 years throughout which he has led national and international cultural, sporting and scientific events from conception to implementation. Executive responsibility for the Lord Mayor’s Show formed the backbone of this portfolio. Concurrently he has held roles of London Film Commissioner, Executive Director of the Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race, and Director of the 2010 Anniversary Programme of the Royal Society. Lord Rees PRS 2005-2010 and Astronomer Royal described him designing and delivering the complex international programme “with dignity and panache”.
Dominic trained and practised as an architect following a Short Service Limited Commission in the army in 1981. He holds an MA from Cambridge University, a postgraduate diploma from the Bartlett School of Architecture at UCL, and is a chartered member of the RIBA. He is the managing partner of John & Sylvia Reid LLP and has reissued their award-winning S-Range dining furniture.
He was appointed OBE in 2003 and is one of Her Majesty’s Commissioners of Lieutenancy for the City of London.
