Seasoned Entrepreneur and Business Leader
A Law graduate, Robert founded the UK’s first integrated, creative marketing agency, advising blue-chip clients such as British Airways, Disney, American Express and Unilever, as Executive Chairman of The Communications Agency.
From being an owner-run business, Robert was able to grow the Company significantly and build a robust senior management team, enabling him to exit the business, which continues to thrive. The business was sold to Communisis Plc (a FTSE 250).
His passion is helping to nurture and develop talent and watch them thrive. Robert has mentored literally hundreds of executives from graduate to Board and Chief Executive level over a 30-year period.
Robert has been non-exec Chairman of a global film publicity agency, mentored and advised the CEO of JK Rowling’s literary and rights management agency, and is an active investor in, and mentor to several early-stage businesses.
He is executive producer of a feature film in production, and a reality TV series based in Maui. Robert is on the advisory board of a prominent cancer charity, and a mental health charity.
Robert’s core skill is as an experienced, hands-on businessman who understands the importance of strong leadership, delegation, motivation, communication and presentation skills.
