But in 2002, Ken faced his most crucial challenge when he took the helm of ILX Group, a struggling AIM-listed company teetering on the brink. With unwavering resolve and strategic foresight, he implemented a swift turnaround, propelling the ailing business to global leadership in its field within a short timeframe. This remarkable feat earned him recognition as a regional winner at the prestigious Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in 2009.
Ken’s entrepreneurial spirit extends far beyond his corporate achievements. He co-founded Moncrief London, a luxury fashion brand, and Fund My Deposit, a FinTech company empowering first-time homebuyers to get on the housing ladder. He currently chairs JLC Distribution, a thriving IT distributor, and the Lending Standards Board, a self-regulatory body driving better outcomes for consumer and small business customers of UK banks. Thus demonstrating his commitment to diverse leadership roles in different sectors.
A true “renaissance man,” Ken’s dedication to lifelong learning extends beyond the boardroom. He embodies the spirit of continuous exploration, even finding time to pursue his passion for music as a guitarist and mentor to aspiring musicians.
